Context and Objectives

The client needed:

  • Access to new suppliers in niche product categories outside their current expertise

  • Network Activation: Leveraged our trusted network of sourcing partners to introduce the client to a specialized sourcing firm with experience in FSC-certified packaging, rattan furniture, and technical plastic components

  • Strategic Positioning: We carefully positioned the client's project to sourcing partners, ensuring they understood the production volumes, timelines, and long-term collaboration potential

  • No Intermediation: We did not act as a trader or broker – our role was purely to facilitate a direct, operationally efficient relationship between the client and the sourcing firm

  • Supply Chain Thinking: Supported early discussions to align on Incoterms, MOQ, compliance documentation, and logistics constraints for raw materials

  • Category Expansion: Opened new conversations around sourcing of raw materials for furniture production, helping the client move further upstream in their value chain

Results

Thanks to our targeted introductions, the client successfully began exploratory sourcing in several new categories:

  • FSC-certified packaging

  • Woven rattan furniture components

  • Injection-molded parts for assembly systems

  • Bulk raw materials for furniture manufacturing

These additions allowed the client to internalize higher-margin operations, strengthen control over their supply chain, and reduce dependency on any one supplier.
