Business Registration

CATEGORY

Corporate Governance and Incorporation

Definition

Business registration is the process of officially registering a business with the relevant government authorities so that it can legally operate within a specific jurisdiction.

The registration process varies depending on the country, the legal structure of the business, and the activities it intends to carry out. It may involve registering a company name, providing details about directors, shareholders, beneficial owners, and the registered address, and submitting incorporation or registration documents to the appropriate authority.

Business registration may also include obtaining a business registration certificate, tax identification number, local licences, employer registration, or other permits required for specific activities.

For international companies, registering a business in a new country may also create additional obligations related to corporate tax, VAT, payroll, accounting, annual filings, and regulatory compliance.

Business registration is different from VAT registration or tax registration, although these processes may be required as part of the overall company setup.

ASC Consulting supports international entrepreneurs and companies with business registration, company incorporation, administrative setup, tax registrations, and ongoing compliance across selected jurisdictions in Europe and Asia.
